I remember the night that Sadam's regieme fell. I remeber countless speaches on weapons of mass distruction. I remember the start of the "War on Terror" but what exactly is the best option now?
I love our troops, I support them no matter what. They are fighting to keep our freedoms (and they definatley don't come free.) I support them even when I don't exactly agree with the circumstances that they are fighting in--they are just following orders. So its not that I am against our troops I just don't know what the best option for our country is.
Recession, in my opinion is eminate. The billions of dollars that go Iraq add up very quickly. Congress is forever talking about troop withdrawls. Will our pressence over there accomplish much? I want to think that being over there, and risking the lives of so many people that there will be good coming from it. A strong democratic government, better lives for the people over there, and less terrorism for everyone. But is this possible?
I never hear of anything good coming from over there. The news, in my opinion, is too negative...yes bad stuff happends, but it'd be nice to hear possitive information if at all possible. I'm not a quitter, and so I'm unsure about troop withdrawl if there is identifiable progress.
So I guess I'm just wondering what would be the best option for us as a country. Stick it out, rally behind the troops no matter how long this will take? Or pull out, and hope for the best? Or is there another option?

2 billion dollars every week! That is ridiculous! When I found out how much the war costs every week I wanted to scream.
America needs to get the hell out of there. They have no reason to be there killing innocent peope (including americans). It is not even funny anymore. America needs to take care of its own problems and then try to """fix""" the rest of the world.
