OK I know there is a lot of debate on whether or not gay marriage should be legal or not.  I say what's the problem?  SO what if two men or two women love each other, they should have the same rights as a man and a woman.  A couple is a couple, and love is love.  Thats what it boils down to.  Some people say "well it's a sin," I was raised to believe the same thing, but at the same time will we start outlawing other things considered a sin?  Will it be illegal to lust over someon or be jealous, or how about worshipping something other than a Christian God.  This country was founded on freedom, and in my eyes that includes the freedom to marry anyone you so choose.

There are a couple people who say homosexual couple shouldn't raise a child, for some odd reason.  If a couple no matter the gender of each party, has the love and devotion to give to a child who needs it....why shouldn't they?!  It's not like being gay is contagious or a disease, nor would the child be harmed or whatever else people may think.  Whatever happens behind closed doors should remain behind them.  We are all humans despite what our sexual orientation is: we all are the same inside and out.  Sexual orientation shouldn't matter when it comes to wanting to marry or adopt/have children.

i totally agree. marriage is a commitment to the person you love, that you want to spend your life with, to possibly raise a family with. it's a sacred promise of devotion.

I don't quite understand how so many people can be against something so beautiful. I'm not gay, but I believe that love between two people is beautiful. Any love in this cold world is beautiful. And I think the people who shame it, and fight against it are completely ignorant and narrow-minded to not see something so wonderful in front of them.

Even if someone didn't support it, why do they have to fight them, redicule them, and do everything possible to degrate them? They are not hurting anyone by loving! Instead, these haters have to stick their noses in other people's business, and do everything possible to hurt them when the victims didn't do anything wrong.

How is society to advance if the people who run it degrate and challenge anything or anyone who is different from them and their traditonal beliefs? We can't. We can't grow until we accept diversity and move onto more important problems, like hundreds of children starving to death everyday. And the big issue in America is gay marriage?

Homosexuality has been around for hundreds of years. Even in Renaissance times, bisexuality was accepted and considered normal. So the fact is, homesexuality isn't going anywhere. And I think America needs to grow up and accept the truth.

I agree with you, I'm not gay either, but like you said love is sacred and everyone no matter preferences should be able to express that and yea American should just accept the fact that we are all different, but still all humans.

I think that marriage is up to the two people who are getting married. Somepeople like to say that two gay people shouldn't get married because they can't have children, but it is really no different than two people who can't reproduce getting married.

Thank you.

Interesting point. I don't feel like they are any different from that standpoint. People who are gay are people like everyone else. I don't really like the idea of being gay, and I can't imagine myself liking someone of the same sex, but I am not going to judge others. That personal choice is up to them, and it's not for me to judge. Only God can judge us. And, if you were to say or believe that "it's a sin," to be gay, then you shouldn't hate the people just because "it is a sin." If you believe it is a sin, hate the sin, not the people. After all, this is America, a country where we all are supposed to have equal rights.

Exactly. LIke i said if things are gonna be illegal because it's a sin then heck...there is no freedom. I don't agree with the lifestyle, but I still think they should be able to marry.
