The men in blue

Whenver i watch the news it seems like there are a lot of cops that are corrupt and injuring innocent people. Of course there are the upstanding cops who do there jobs and deserve much praise and award, but i wonder just how many corrupt cops are out there. Do you think it is too easy to break the law when you are the one who presides over a city and gives tickets to law breakers? I personally do.  I'm not educated on how exactly cops make it in to the police force, but from what ive heard its not the hardest job to get.  I understand that its a hard job to have considering they are risking there lives for civillians, but Im sure there are a lot more people than we think that take advantage as there posistion as a cop which results in more corruption and violence on the streets.  I just read an article about two cops, who where not necassarilly corrupt, but stupid.  They ended up killing a ninety year old women accidentally. Its an interesting article and i would really ilke to know how hard exactly is it to become a police officer because there seems to be a lot who kind of resemble the kid in the back of my class sleeping.   http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/04/26/atlanta.indictments.ap/index.html
