I blog because it allows me to voice my opinion. As a college student I am exposed to many different view points and beliefs and through the course of just conversation with the people around me I am developing new ideas and viewpoints on a variety of topics. Blogs allow me to explore my thoughts and ideas, while getting feedback from others who agree or disagree with me. Through their feedback I can learn even more about specific issues. I especially love to hear from those who disagree with me because I can admit that I can be wrong and close minded in my beliefs and hearing the opposite view point allows me to look at aspects I never considered about topics and sometimes I am persuaded to change my opinions all together.
ProgressiveU provides a very good website in order to blog and share your opinion with everyone. I have only been a member for a few hours and not long after I posted my first post I had eight responses. My post was about the abortion issue and many of the responses to my post were from those who agreed with me, and there still were those who did not agree. I find it exciting to read and learn about what they all had to say. There should be more blogging websites so that the world can learn from one another about what they find important.
