Seriously, $3.25 a gallon? I don't want to pay that. Good God, I only get paid $7 an hour. And that's just for regular. Have you looked at what the diesel price is lately? Around here it's about $4.00.
The big eighteen wheelers are having to pay that and it's their job to drive around all day burning up fuel. They have gotten to the point where they claim they can no longer make any money with the prices this high.
The truck drivers have decided that they want to go on a strike to get the government to dip into the reserves or regulate the price on gas. The oil industry is an oligopoly and is using that to it's advantage to put more money in their pockets.
The truck drivers are trying to organize a strike like back in the 70's during the oil shortage. They are trying to for three days to not work. The problem is: there are no major trucking companies on board. I personally don't believe this is going to work because they have very little organization. But if they do get this ploy to work the US may finally tap into the oil reserves that it has which will in theory be beneficial.
On the other hand, if the truck drivers really don't drive anywhere for three days, there are going to be crazy shortages all over the country.
I don't think this can work and I believe that it might actually cost more for the government to start working to produce that fuel.

i completly agree gas is way over priced andno one working for minimum wage can afford it!!!
I know it's ridiculous! I can't pay that and I don't want to have to sit around my house all day, and I still have to drive to school ... ugh ... I really don't know if the truck drivers' strike will work though, I highly doubt it, maybe I'm just too skeptical though
