Until recently myspace was known for its strict policy on no drugs no porn no guns. That is till a 16 year old Denver kid had a picture of him with rifles laying all around him pointing at his head the caption reading “Angel o' death on wings o' lead” In response to it several parents complained to the school board. The matter was then resolved with the school officials involving themselves and attempting to expel the young man. The myspace has been since deleted. The only question remains, “Is it right to take such drastic measures?”
Unfortunately the actions taken by the school officials seem only to please the parents. In actuality the gun’s did not have to be taken as a hint at suicide unless such words were made clear. Basically it is all based on interpretation. So therefore the boy should not have been expelled but, at the very most DMC. With myspace’s strict rules the owner “Tom” had every right to delete the myspace, as many kids do tend to see others profiles on a daily basis. Overall it boils down to this, what should be his punishment at all? And is the crime that serious?

The school cannot control what is shown. it is up to the parents to control thier kids and the sites that they go on. Although we all know that that is difficult and parents can't really do that all the time. But they complained to the wrong person. If anything get Tom to change his rules.
