I'm on day #4 of my transition into a new lifestyle. It's going really well. I'm tempted to jump on the scale or take some measurements, but I refuse. I'm waiting until atleast sunday.
I'm not necessarily making a lot of really healthy choices, but I've taken my fast food intake down to once per week, and i'm staying under a certain calorie limit. It's different every day, so my body doesnt adjust. It's basically a 3500 calorie deficit for a week.
Every week, I'm going to incorporate something new into my lifestyle. This week, it was cuttng down the fast food. Next week, it could be soda, or chips getting cut out. Or not ordering french fries anymore. The important thing is to not abandon the change from the previous week. This way, I'm not shoking my body. it's just a bunch of little changes that will turn into a complete lifestyle change.
Workouts are small, and not very often; that will change. But for now, I'm working 8 hour days outside in the heat. It's not like I'm just dieting and then sitting inside at a desk all day.
I'm feeling pretty good today, and overall. I realize that this is the way to go. Little bits at a time add up to a lot.
a bunch of small changes, add a up to one big thing

is great and I agree with that "a bunch of small changes add up to one big thing".
