Last year, one of the first posts I wrote explained this blue state sports phenomenon.
I wanted to continue reporting how this streak has continued...in pro sports. We did not have hockey last year unfortunately. But my home town Chicago White Sox won it for another blue state, Illinois and the Pittsburgh Steelers won the NFL Super Bowl for Pennsylvania, a key Kerry state in '04. But tonight we have a matchup between a blue state, California (UCLA) and a red state, Florida (UF). Who are you rooting for? This may seem counterintuitive for my phenomenon here, but tonight I'm a Gators fan. Lets just hope that this year's game is as exciting as last years.

UCLA is going to win. Up against a number 2 seed (LSU..or was it 3?), they kicked their butt. But Florida (number 2) went up against GM (number 11) and almost got theirs whooped. I have no faith for Florida...but something tells me that they are going to win anyways because I have horrible luck LOL. My signature should read "My life is ruled by irony"

LSU was a 4 seed. Florida was a 2 seed. UCLA was a 2 seed.
And Florida wasn't even close to getting their butts whooped by George Mason; they had a healthy lead througout the game.
Just like in the championship game. I stopped watching when the lead reached 20.

There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.
Yes, but Bradley got their butts whooped all season to place them in 13 seed and then they went on to beat KU and Pitt. The NCAA tournament is not about who has more talant, its about which team does better under pressure and does better to adaptinbg to stragies they have not encountered before and who prepares more for that specific opponent.
