THE ME IN LIFE
Say it loud
Say it proud
The thing that drives your very soul
Without it your inner self is never whole
Its hard to find , but is always there
You have to do more than a simple blank stare
It’s the me if life that matters most
Its always important to be your own host
To serve yourself, and do what you need
Answer your voice and the given plead
For it’s a lesson in life that must be learned
For all those who don’t understand and are concerned
To help others in the world who we love
Our self must come first so we can rise above
Without a little selfishness here and there
Our assistance in the world won’t have a prayer
Without loving ourselves first, what can we do
It would be useless and you know it too
I don’t mean to be rough
But enough is enough
Yes do for others all that you can
Be a proud person, be a good man
But realize through and through
That in order to be helpful you must be you
Its the voice inside
Let it roll, let it ride
