This Morning There was Cereal in my Dads Newspaper.

This morning my dad came in sat at the table and opened up the newspaper to find 3 sample size boxes of cereal. We were puzzled as to who might have left these 3 boxes of cerea. I myself can never have enough cereal. I thought this to be the most peculiar thing in the world. I went to school and I asked my friends if they found cereal in their papers, they did. There was cinnamon toast crunch my most favorite cereal in the world, and applejacks YUCK!, and Fruit Loops MMMM! I don't know what to make of this and thought it would make an interesting blog. Maybe someone out their has answers for this mysterious cereal event.

That used to happen quite a bit when I was a kid. All sorts of free samples for different things.

Not so much anymore.

I live in Oklahoma City and I got those samples as well.

I forget the cereals, but they looked to be on the healthier end.

I've never had that happen...I have however had lotion in my newspaper, which i thought was a great idea since turning the pages combined with the type of paper used dries my skin out...
But how great would that be to have cereal in your newspaper....breakfast and morning reading all in one! Sweet! : )

Heh. there used to be lots of stuff for free in newspapers, and in general.

When I was little (well, I'm 28 now, so it wasn't THAT long ago), I remember getting free samples of lotion or shampoo or even deodorants and some foods.

I think, due to a marketing scandal if some food or product got tainted, this has largely been stopped.

I was thinking it might have been a serial killer...no pun intended so I didn't eat it at first but than I found out all my friends had the cereal in their newspapers when I got to school.
