People all over are in a constant drought due to the lack of water. And yet something has yet to be done. All that has been done is some hybirid cars and recycling programs. At the rate we are going this alone WILL NOT BE ENOUGH!
I myself live in Michigan and we have a lot of freshwater, so naturally people believe that we should share, which I'm all for, Sharing is caring after all. But what are people going to do when the Great Lakes are just a memory? Where will we turn then for our recreational weekend boating, Fish and of course water?
I'm all for helping people out when they are in need but there is something else that some people generally don't realize- Michigan is in some serious debt and one way that Michigan gets money is through tourist coming to enjoy the view of the Great lakes.
Another bad thing that is likely to happen if the Great Lakes water drops is that all of the people that owns houses around the Great Lakes will up and leave due to the fact that they see no reason to be here. The beauty is gone, the fun and nature have disappeared along with it,.
Thank you for reading, I hope you have a good day

The problem is, most Americans (and Westerners) aren't truly affected by droughts. Sure, their lakes dry up a bit, but it's not like they go hungry and thirsty, so they don't really care.
