A movie depicting the weekend John Lennon was killed, from the murderer's point of view is currently in production. Many people are not happy with this. John Lennon's murderer was a loner and... CRAZY. He murdered John Lennon in hopes that it would give him fame. Both Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono have asked dans to not even repeat the name of Lennon's murderer because that would only give him the attention he was hoping for.
So... why is this movie being made? Why give this man the fame and attention he was looking for?

That is crazy! No one should give that man any fame or knowledge of. John Lennon needs to rest in peace. ~<3~Love and be loved!~<3~
Well, perhaps it's good to show how some people are so crazy.
The man in question, whose name I won't mention, was not just "looking for fame." He was (and still is, for all we know) crazy. He killed Lennon because he was having severe emotional problems in his own life, and saw Lennon as a huge hypocrite and "phony" (see "The Catcher in the Rye") who sang and preached about helping the poor but didn't give any of his own vast fortune. I don't think that a Lennon movie needs to be made, but the fame reason has very little to do with it.
We need to have more free thinking individuals making movies. Most people would think to make a movie about John Lennon. But making one about the murderer is genius.
I dont' think it will matter if the movie is made or not. The man who killed one of the greatest musicians of all times will always be infamous. not making the movie won't change that, but if those who were close to him do not want the film made, it shouldn't be made.
