Abortion- A social peace and justice issue. Social peace and justice is based human dignity and the right and responsibilities of others. It is a babies right to be born, and by having an abortion you are taking their rights and life away. God gives us the gift of life and through abortion we go against God by taking that Childs special gift from God away. I don’t think you would be happy if your parents took your gift of life away. It’s your responsibility, you made the choice to have sex and you knew the consequences. You chose to do the action and knew what the consequences would be except in cases like rape or if they didn’t know they could get pregnant.
Those affected by abortion. The unborn children are probably the most affected by abortion, seeing how their life is taken away from them. The mother of the unborn child is also affected more than most people think. They aren’t educated about how intense the abortion is going to impact them. Sometimes the affects will come right after other times it could be years. And when they see a woman with a child it will just remind them of what they did. They also suffer from post-abortion syndrome. The fathers are also affected. They go from child to man. Sometimes they don’t want anything to do with the child and they freak out and abandon the mother. Other times they want the child and don’t want the mother to have an abortion. If the mother has an abortion the father can be affected greatly and be upset and feel a part of him died to with the baby.
The affects of Abortion They can have medical complications from the abortions such as minor infections, bleeding, fevers, chronic abdominal pain, gastro-intestinal disturbances, vomiting, and Rh sensitization. The nine most common are infection, excessive bleeding, embolism, ripping or perforation of the uterus, anesthesia complications, convulsions, hemorrhage, cervical injury, and endotoxic shock. Women who abort children sometimes have problems later on in life with having kids. Women can suffer from sterility. They also can have cervical damage which can lead to miscarriages, pre-mature birth, and labor complications with future pregnancies. Women who have abortions will often have negative affects such as feeling guilty, nervous disorders and sleep disturbances. Women also go through a five to ten year denial period, where they will avoid people, and situations. They mat temporarily feel a relief after an abortion till later they suffer from what psychiatrists call emotional paralysis, or post-abortion numbness. This emotional paralysis is like shell-shocked soldiers, these women are unable to express their feelings or even feel their any emotion at all. Most women suffer from post-abortion syndrome, causing them to feel a lot of “self-hatred”. I feel that abortion is a bad thing. Abortion should only be allowed in special circumstances such as rape, child birth complications, and incest. I also feel that I can’t comment as well on abortion because I have never been in that situation. I don’t think its right to kill a child but I also don’t think its right to judge others who are experiencing such a major situation when you yourself have never understood or known everything their dealing with. It matters to me because I feel we need to educate women more about the after affects and show them more support. We need more programs that help women who aren’t sure they can handle, have, or deal with a child at that time in their life. We need to make social opinion change to be more into having babies to give to adoption rather than aborting them or to have the baby.
It applies to the 1st principle Life and Dignity of the Human Person because it is the unborn child’s right to live, and by aborting the child u are taking away the right that God gave that child. No one should be allowed to take this right away but God himself. The unborn child has enormous value. It falls under the 3rd principle Right and Responsibilities because with every right theirs a responsibility. And the responsibility that comes with having sex is a child. You were given the right to be born now it’s your responsibility to give that same right to your unborn child. The second principle call to family, community, and participation tells us that it’s our responsibility to help those women who are struggling with abortion. We need to be there to tell them its okay and show them programs to help them financially and emotionally. If we don’t show them an alternate route than they will freak out and make a panicked decision that they may later regret. We also need to show them that we will participate after the birth of the child. We also have to help those women who have had an abortion who are now emotionally struggling, and show them forgiveness.
Christian values of life can help people realize that abortion is not what God wants. It can help you to save a child’s life. It can also help you to realize that a responsibility comes with sex and if you’re not willing to accept the responsibility then you’re not ready to have sex. With Christian values there would be less abortions and safer sex. Christian values are always for the good of the people, and when people have faith and morals there is more peace. Through God there is peace!

I completely agree with your reasoning. You gave strong evidence that made your content and opinion very compelling.
I agree with you that abortion is wrong and that the unborn child should have the right to live. I also agree that exceptions to abortion bans would be appropriate if the mother was raped or if there were health complications that would endanger both lives. I disagree that exceptions should be made in the cases of incest (unless of course the woman was a non-willing participant). I disagree that God, religion or Christianity should have any influence on our laws. I disagree that God or religion can be used to successfully argue why abortion should be illegal in most cases because it is constitutionally mandated that church and state be separated as far as laws apply. The reason why abortion should be illegal is because of science and the no-aggression principle. A human fetus is a human being (elementary science fact) and should therefore be protected by the law from aggression in a civilized society (which one may successfully argue America is.) Anyway, good post and I'm glad to see that you respect life at all stages regardless of your reasons.
It is a babies right to be born
Nope, there is no right to be born. Life is a gift that women choose to give. Your right to life begins when you enter the world: at birth.
God gives us the gift of life and through abortion we go against God by taking that Childs special gift from God away.
No, women give the gift of life by carrying pregnancies to term. If a woman doesn't want to carry a pregnancy to term, that is her choice to make. She can't go against herself.
I don’t think you would be happy if your parents took your gift of life away.
I wouldn't be unhappy, either, because I wouldn't exist.
It’s your responsibility, you made the choice to have sex and you knew the consequences. You chose to do the action and knew what the consequences would be except in cases like rape or if they didn’t know they could get pregnant.
My body is my responsibility, which means that I have the right to decide whether or not I will carry a pregnancy with it. It doesn't matter if I made the choice to have sex, or if I didn't: I still own my own body, and I get to decide what happens to it at all times. My husband doesn't lose his right to decide what happens to his body when he has sex with me, so I shouldn't lose my right to decide what happens to my body when I have sex with him.
Christian values are always for the good of the people
I'm not Christian and never will be. I have the right to my own beliefs. I should not have to live by yours.
So what world does the baby live in before it exits the womb? You know you can't win on this topic because your logic is quite frankly horrible. The baby is always on the planet earth in our world, whether born or unborn and that's a fact. And by the way, ignorance is no excuse to kill. Need I say more?
You chose to do the action and knew what the consequences would be except in cases like rape or if they didn’t know they could get pregnant.
Most girls who have sex at a young age felt coerced or pressured into it. Many have untrue ideas about pregnancy. Should abortion be illegal for those people?

Er, pregnancy and birth are FAR more dangerous to the woman. Also, it's been shown that adoption is MORE traumatic for women than abortion.
Abortion should only be allowed in special circumstances such as rape, child birth complications, and incest.
What about a girl whose family will hate her? What about a girl whose future will be destroyed? What about a girl who will suffer severe psychological trauma as a result?
How are you going to prove a girl was raped? Why would a girl want to admit she was raped?

Wrong. Christian values are the reason AIDS is so widespread in Africa - because the Catholic church says birth control is immoral. Christian values are the reason teen pregnancy and STD rates are so high in the US - they encourage schools to teach kids abstinence-only education, they don't allow access to birth control and condoms.
