She still goes on,
She smiles as she waits,
Growing her flowers,
At the garden gate,
Pure and blameless
She walks in light,
The truth guides her heart,
Though there’s longing inside.
She will whisper no lie,
She will harbor no hate,
She protects her heart,
With a garden gate,
Beautifully waiting,
She holds the key,
To give to the one,
That will make her complete,
The gate will be shut,
Until that one day,
Until death will they part,
And “I do” they will say,
Though through eyes of evil,
She is looked on as bleak,
But the smile on her face,
Does not grow weak,
They tell her she’s nothing,
Worthless, or wrong,
They tell her its pointless,
And to wait is too long,
“But to wait” she will say,
will give me more days,
to grow all my flowers,
to give away.”
She waters the garden,
She will harvest the seeds,
She will continue to plant,
What her heart needs.
She still will go on,
She smiles as she waits,
Growing her flowers,
At the garden gate,
Psalm 31:30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
1 Peter 3:3 “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment…”
4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
Deuteronomy 6:5
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
