Well I know from personal experience how teens drive. At my high school we get out of school at 2:00 pm. When that bell rings 2:00 most of the boys run to their cars like its a race. Even though they can't leave until the buses leave they wait in line form a major traffic blog where no one can go anywhere.
So everyone sits in their cars and wait for the busses to move. While the busses start to head out everyone gets ready to dodge and get out of the parkig lot first. Usually their are 4 different lines trying to turn into two. Going out of the parking lot is only 2 lanes, one for going out , and one for coming in.
Well at my school they use both for going out, so if anyone wants to come in they are screwed!
Everyone cuts in front of you and drives really careless. It's actually kind of scary, because you never know what will happen!
I mean we have secruity guards who try to help out the maddness but I dont blams them for giving up because I would not trust anyone, I'm sure if he stood in the road directing taffic someone would hit him.
The kids in my school are crazy drivers and it just makes me wonder how they drive on the regular road!
Something needs to be done!

in my opinion, a few bad drivers shouldn't stand for all teens. most drivers i know are actually really responsible - theyve never gotten a ticket and are very courteous on the road. it is people like those at your school (and some at mine) who drive recklessly that ruin it for the rest of us and get so much negative legislation against us! i love to drive, yet i can't drive people my age because of new laws. i see adults all the time driving a LOT worse than me (doing their makeup, rustling in their glove compartments, etc) and yet THEY don't have nearly as many restrictions!
My school gets out at 2:41. I have office aide my last period so I always get in the parking lot by 2:37. This gives me time to put my books in my car and wait for the bell to ring. The principal told me and my friend that is also an office aide, that as long as we don't leave school grounds before the bell, we can go out to our cars. It's awesome because getting out of our parking lot at my school is crazy. The only way you can get out is if you cut someone, or if you have a friend that's already in line.
A lot of my friends aren't the best drivers, but what do you expect from a girl that has only had her lisence a couple years? Adults can also be bad drivers. There are a lot of adults in know that drive like Helen Keller (can't see or hear).
I think that the restriction laws are there for our own good. I know teens always think they're being discriminated against, espescially when it comes to driving, but it's for good reason.
