SHouldn't We Take A Stand?

Does anybody else think that we shouldn't have to worry about any dosage of medicine in our drinking supply? I mean even if it is a small non-significant amount, what if it does effect us in the long run? I mean sex hormones? Antidepressants? As a New York born and raised teen, I worry what could have been in the water then? If anything has progressed it is probably the filters that goes through the water right? But what about 19 years ago. What kind of \drugs and pharmaceuticals were in our bodies without our knowledge then?

I think that is the responsibility of our country to require the testing of our water supplies, and that there needs to be as much push taken as possible to make our water clear of drugs. Is it going to take a mishap with someone down the line in order to push us to improve this. How many people will get sick with a poor filtering system in their own bodies?

While we do have state, federal and government regulations we must abide by in the process of distributing our water supply. We do not look for pharmaceuticals, what of those of us allergic to a tranquilizer? Yea, that was found too. Or with fatal reactions to heart medication? Not only that, but do you think when you quit coffee, that you have quit caffeine? Apparently it's commonly found in our water supplies as well. How do we fix this, how can we?

You're right we should require some testing.

But it will cost big $$$ especially to purify it, I mean we are already 9.2 trillion dollars in debt.

I just saw this stuff on the news yesterday. The water filtration systems used here gives us some of the cleanest tap water anywhere. The actual amount of drugs in the water supply are so minimal, it is of no consequence. Our current water filtration systems do not take the drugs out, and it would be a waste of money to develop that technology.

Are Americans really this spoiled???
