I feel that tuition is a way for the government to stop most minorities from getting a college education. Not eveybody are as fortunate as some who have parents who makes four times the money in two month than it takes another to make in a year. If they really cared wether we went to college they would have brought down the prices of these so caleed big college tuitions. Even as they offer scholarships and grants but that sometimes doesn't come close to the tuition. My mother have four kids and two are already in college and i'm soon about to enter college but with the salary of $20,000 a year, how is that supposed to take care of our other expenses plus still provide for our education. I think that it sucks that even though we are trying to get a better education so we can help her out but we can't even get pass the fist obstacle which is to get into college. The government is always talking about making a change but they never think about how us not being able to get an education is not going to make a change. They always say they are going to do this and that but i'm still waiting because i have not seen a good change in the last eight years.

Our country was founded on the right for all men to have the right to pursue happiness! So you saying that is beyond wrong. First of all, if you went to an in-state school (in most states) tuition isn't going to touch privates, as well as a community college for two years, because a school will accepect those credits. Second of all, the government and banks have loans for just that reason...take one! Third, the government only controls state schools, so the jacked up tuition prices are private institutions. And lastly, minorities get unfair payment breaks, somehow it ends up costing miniorites less, and they can get into better schools.
