So I recently learned an incredibly shocking thing. I mean something that I find so compleatly disturbing that it almost made me sick, one of those things that you can't believe until it's been proven to you. So here it its The majority of regular everyday americans like you and I aren't required to pay income taxes, that's right. first of all there is no law stating that we must pay these taxes. As a matter of fact, taxing us in this manner is illegal according to our constitutional rights.
" a direct tax must be apportioned" the constitution of the united states. It has been argued that the 16th amendment gives the gaovernment the right to tax income but the supreme court has ruled time and again that it does not. "The court holds that the 16th amendment did not empower the federal government the power to levy a new tax." the New York Times, 1916. The definition by the government of income is the money, goods or services gained by corporations. Basically meaning that the only people required to pay income taxes are corporations. shocked? In fact even the laws the IRS have state that it is voluntary to comply in paying these taxes.
So if this tax is illegal why do people pay it? I feel that there are several reasons namely people are ignorant of the situation, people just don't know that they aren't required to pay taxes. Another reason people are afraid of the IRS and with reason the IRS uses scare tactics to recieve compliance, not unlike that used in fascist nations. Also the Amercan people typically think these taxes go toward things like education, roads and such, but it doesn't. We pay taxes on gasoline and property for those things.
So where does the money go? Did you know that the federal reserve is a private bank? The money you have in your pocket is distrubuted, on loan by the federal reserve, with interest, did you know that? This obviously can only create one thing, debt. Aproximately 35 percent of your wages go toward taxes that's 4.2 months of the year that you work, and recieve no money to pay the governments debt. Who does that money go? To the private business owners of the federal reserve.
According to the 5th ammendment you cannot do anything that incrminates yourself. making a mistake on your 1040, according to the IRS is an incrimnating action, who do you trust, the founding fathers or a private organization, the IRS? Not only this but all of this other evidence essentially proves that the income tax is illegal. So how are they putting people in jail for this. The answer is sad, public ignorance. Something we can cure.
So if you don't want to pay income taxes anymore I wouldn't blame you, I'm not going to. Oh and I wouldn't fear the IRS it seems that if you have any knowledge about this it wouldn't be that difficult to win a case, if you were to get audited. Besides "People should not fear their governments, governments should fear their people." alan moore. I think it's time for people to know that they're being scamed.
what is an income tax?

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
Seems to me like income tax is constitutional....

I think that I pointed out that congress ruled that the 16th amendment does not give the right to a new tax.

You did say that. But what exactly about "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes" does not allow for income taxes. That is the sixteenth amendment. Pretty straightforward if you ask me.
"Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do."

I'd like to point out that the supposed multiple times that the Supreme Court has ruled against it is once and it was in 1916. After that it has been ruled that it is constitutional. If you're so concerned with it, then work for a smaller government then we won't need an income tax. Until that happens you will be in trouble for not paying your income tax. From Freedom to Fascism has good points, but the filmaker also has really shaky ones that fall under examination. You need to make sure that they are getting their facts right because this man obviously did not, and makes a mockery of documentary films that are based on fact.
I think the main point of the whole thing is to get rid of the federal reserve the way it exists today and yes fight for a smaller government.
crishaena m
I agree however when splicing and falsifying statements like the director did, it doesn't help but hurts. It isn't get rid of income tax and then fight for a smaller government, that is faulty logic. You have to work for them at the same time because if you don't have a smaller government then you will always have the income tax.
income is defined by the government as any gain made by a corporation. Therefore according to the government you do not make an income and therfore do not have to pay an income tax that is assuming you aren't a corporation
crishaena m
Um....
"from whatever source derived"....
"income is defined by the government as any gain made by a corporation."
:))
Yeah. You better give me a damn fine link before I believe that.

No, the 5th amendment says
That means that they cannot force a confession out of you; but you giving up a confession is a perfectly legitimate reason for prosecuting you.
I'm also not sure what you mean by 'new tax', as income taxes have been around for many years, and are provided for by the 16th amendment.
It sounds like you need to do a little more research.

“Stopped they must be; on this all depends. Only a fully-trained Jedi Knight, with the Force as his ally, will conquer Vader and his Emperor.”
I suppose I didn't mention this little tidbit..the 16th amendment was passed on a holiday when the majority of the states weren't being represented and that's why in 1916 the supreme court ruled that it was a bunch of rubbish.
crishaena m
Yeah well, guess what? That's just too damn bad. You know what you have to do now? Pay your taxes. Because, if you don't, you will go to jail.

actually no because there isn't even a law in the irs statues that says anyone has to. So they can take me to court and that's exactly what I'll say. When you find the law that says I'm required to pay income taxes I will, end of story. oh yeah that's happened countless times and people have gotten away with it, well I shouldn't say gotten away because they didn't do anything wrong.
crishaena m
Proof please.
And in order for the amendment to get into the constitution, it had to be ratified by 3/4ths of the house and senate. So, no, the majority of states could not have been missing if it was ratified.
