In the lastest poll a few of you replied that politics is pointless, and certainly others are not satisfied with the status quo for politics. But even if you aren't satisfied with traditional politics, if you have spent any amount of time on Progressive U you realize that you can't afford to just sit back and watch. What better way to take matters into you own hands than to study the "state of the union" and debate what needs to be done this summer at one of the countries top universities?
We have received word from the Junior Statesmen Foundation that they have extended the deadline for the new full-scholarship that they are offering this year for their prestigious summer school programs at Georgetown, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford. The scholarship covers tuition, room and board at the summer school campus of your choice -- that's a $4150 scholarship.
If you are not in high school, or you're about to graduate, pass this information on to any high school students who might be interested.
As Junior State says in their slogan, "democracy is not a spectator sport." Don't sit around this summer, take action!
All application materials must be received by May 5, 2007. When submitting the online application, please select “Professor Rogers Award” from the pull-down list for the question “how did you hear about this program.”
