Should Hillary be our first female President? Is America ready for this change? Is America ready for a "First Man"?
Or should America choose the Democratic senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, a possible first African-American President?
One of the most pressing issues for the 2008 Election regards these two candidates, both from the same party. On the other side, the Republican side, Rudy Guliani and Senator John McCain, are two of the most prominent candidates. Both sides are looking pretty good, but as it always happens to be in politics, problems occur in the personal lives of these candidates. Recently in Time magazine, Guliani was being "ostracised" for being married three times and his son was talking "against" him on Good Morning America. McCain, on the other hand, was "chosen by Reagan" and is "destined" to be the President.
Personally, I am a Democrat living in South Carolina, a Republican state. I personally choose Barack for two reasons. One: The nation has too much racist activity. What will a nation with a "colored man" for a President do about all the other races? This will truly make everyone equal, no matter the different skin tones. Two: The nation needs a change. Though Hillary may make a good President, I feel as if she is a bit "fake." All smiles right now, but later, may take a change for the worse. Barack, as it so seems, may also do the same, but he seems more like a people person than Hillary - I feel he will be able to hit the nation's most pressing issues with a stronger "head-on" attitude.
All of this was written to ask one question: Who would you choose?

I'm not really for either one. If I had to choose one or the other, I would choose Obama. I think I'll vote for McCain though since the democrats aren't fulfilling their promises that they made when running for the House and Senate. I feel a bit better having republicans in office right now rather than democrats.
I agree. I am afraid myself. The Democrats have been rather hypocritical and, lately with their promises to completely remove the troops from the Middle East, I am afraid of the safety of this once-powerful nation. I believe in withdrawing the troops, but not swiftly, like the Democrats propose.
What is your opinion on the troop matter?
What I am reading i your post is that you don't agree with their policies, nor are you comfortable with their political experience, but that personality is a winner...
American politics are run like a high school homecoming court. Next we will see the candidates compete in a Pie eating contest and then do a skit!
