Today's rant is brought to you by: Global Warming - Hopefully you are all dead by the new Ice Age...
So out near the Spokane area the weather has been crazy. Near record snow hit in the winter and never seemed like it would stop. Finally in April the snow melted and the temperature finally hit around 80 degrees for a few days. Then two days ago, it snowed. Then it reached around 70. Today, it is snowing. I don't get it. I think Dennis Quaid was right in "The Day After Tomorrow". Global warming is coming quick.
Now that that is out of my head, the rest of today's rant:
1) John Marzano, a former Mariner baseball player and MLB.com correspondent passed away over the weekend after an apparent heart attack and falling down the stairs. He was my favorite underrated player growing up and thought they should have used him more at catcher or in the corner infield. May he R.I.P.
2) Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus hosted the 2008 CMT Music Awards. While I love Billy Ray, they were horrible hosts. I have really started to dislike Miley lately as she seems to be full of herself lately and her taste at the CMT Music Awards proved it.
3) Carrie Underwood seems too full of herself too, if you watched the show you probably picked up on it.
4) "Indiana Jones" and "The Dark Knight" come out soon. I'm overly excited to see both movies...my friend and I are dressing up like Indiana Jones and Short Round for the movie (can you guess which one I am?)
5) "Can You Duet" is out on CMT, from the producers of "American Idol" and from the first few episodes, the show seems promising. I can't wait to see who wins because any new talent in the country music field is more than welcome.
