College Tuition

Tagged:  •

Why does college tuition continue to go up when students and parents are struggling to pay these fees. Sure you can take out loans but who wants to be in debt after they have gone to college for 4 or 5 years? Now you have to work hard for the next 4 years to pay for their expensive education. To be eligible for financial aid your parents have to make $40,000.00 a year which is unfair for people who may make just a little bit more. If they continue to see students struggle and taking out loans, why don't they stop raising the prices of tuition.

Well, the government is lowering the interest rates on loans over the next 5 years, I believe. That's a nice start. They raise the price of tuition because of inflation, and because it simply costs more to run a school. I know at my school, tuition barely pays for running the electricity on campus.

Students should get the lower interest rates and certain ones should be encouraged such as teaching in a shortage area.
