we all know "that girl"

I just needed a place to vent this, especially after venting about how people in the world should be more nice to each other. . . I am a Graduate Student, I've funded my education for the past 6 years, I come from a poor family, and well, I am still dirt poor. . . but I'm nice, I'm a grounded person, and I appreciate the little things in life. . .

On that note, I was on my college campus today, and I was patiently waiting for a parking place, when one was opening up! I put on my blinker to get the parking spot and patiently awaited the person in it's exit. . . lo and behold, some other girl came and stold the space!! I moved on and got another spot farther away, and as I walked past the spot, I eyed the nice, new car (where my car is 10 + years old) with the lisence plate "Daddys Grl" and the plate cover stating "Treat me like the princess that I am" and wanted to be mad, but I couldn't be. . . This poor girl must have a huge sense of entitlement, be spoiled rotten, and almost no sense of the real world. . I'm not going to lie, I was angry for a second, but the truth is. . .yeah, I lost a nice spot, but at least I'm smart, nice, and have gotten where I am on my own. . . with very little sense of entitlement. . . I know I get what I work for, and what I deserve. . .

Um ok. I know girls who have that stuff on their car but they aren't rich. Being arrogant and saying that you worked hard while implying she didn't is stupid. How do you know she didn't work hard and her parents have a lot of money or that she just likes the stuff? I'm going to Baylor (to wreck havoc on the christian majority) and there are girls with that stuff on their cars and most of them worked hard to get where they are and their parents didn't help them, they just bought them a car. So don't buy into the stereotypes so much...even though I do and love to mess with them like your stereotype which you put out as, "im smart and arrogant." Which if we follow what you wrote, then I wouldn't want to even talk to you. See how assuming sucks?

There is a quote from the new Rocky movie, "You remember what you told me as a kid?, Life ain't all sunshine and rainbows, it's a rough mean place out there, but you got to be willing to take the hit, if you know what you are worth...go out and get what your worth, but you got to be willing to take the hit." I think this quote describes your situation best because you deserve receiving great things out of life...whatever they may be. I took this quote to heart when I use to play volleyball because to be honest I only had 2 minutes of playing time. I attended practice regularly and went to practice over the summer, but I got a measly 2 minutes of playing time during games. I have a good attitude and always tried my best. I am merely 5 feet and have a soft serve. They gave girls who barely arrived more time than me to play. The girls did not even try to dive for balls and were lazy. I had enough of this so I quit and went after what I deserved. I went out for cross country and I got to be on a team that won regionals. We not only won regionals, but it was the first time the girls cross country team have won regionals. I was proud of myself and realized that I made the right decision to leave volleyball. I trust that you will get what you give out to the world.
