My niece the other day, told someone in her class to f- off, in case you are wondering she is 8 years old.
I remember when it was cool to cuss in elementary, but there was only about 1/4 of the class that actually did, because the rest of us were either too scared or knew in the back of our heads it was a bad word, therefore should not be said.
Everyone knows how it goes though, you grow up and start to hear more and more people say naughty things, and get into drugs and alcohol. Its all apart of the learning system. But has anyone noticed that the kids keep slowly and slowly getting younger and younger. People weren't even thinking about having sex until High School possibly late Junior High, but in Junior High everyone knew they were just rumors, nothing actually went down between that girl and guy. Now we have kids that are getting Pregnant. KIDS! I have a 13 year cousin, that just had a daughter, and it totally bewildered me to find that out. This little girl, I remember babysitting, and holding her hand to cross the street. Thirteen years old, only a child herself, and now has to take care of a child for the rest of her life. What is this world coming to.
Most parents blame it on television, and movies, all the provocative toys, like barbies or brats that are coming out. Well I dont really specifically blame anyone. I might blame the parents a little bit, the world is full of child locks, and different devices that protect your kids from things like whats on TV that they are not suppose to watch, or music they are not suppose to listen to. Its not the worlds respobsibility to protect your children...its yours.
I keep telling myself as I enter into marriage and hopefully someday soon kids, that all we can do is talk to our kids. No one is every going to make the right decision all the time. In order to learn, you have to make mistakes, its all apart of growing up. Just like the commercials, where the kids are telling their parents to talk to them about drugs and sex. Please do, they need to understand, just because you talk to them about it, doesn't mean they all might thinks its cool and run out and try the first joint they can get their hands on. My parents taught me how to be responsible, you cant do much more than that. You tell your kids, something is bad, and they are not a loud to do it, its common sense to know that most are going to do the complete opposite. Just talk to them about it, all we can do is talk to them, let them know, and hope that they make good desicions in the future.
We already have children have kids, we dont need it to get worse.

Tell me about it...There are 4th graders (i think it was 4th graders), that planned a conspiracy to kill their teacher. Something definitely has to be done. Something is wrong here. We need to know how to get down to the nitty gritty and solve this problem with our children.
"In a world where we all can't make up our minds, we are definitely too sure of ourselves."
