Voting

According to Voter Turnout in 2004, of the eligible voters in America only 60.3% actually voted. That is amazingly over 35% that could vote, that didn't, but I guaruntee you that of those that didn't vote 100% have an opinion on George Bush as our president. It is amazing to think that so many people have a problem with our current president, but there is such an overwhelming amount of American's that dislike our current president so much that they will go on national telivision to say so that didn't even vote for or against him. I think next time these people want to say something about President Bush they need to think twice about what they did themselves. Did they vote for him, maybe they voted for Kerry, but if they didn't vote at all then there is no reason for them to get on national television and blast our president because they didn't even vote so they should have no puplic opinions on the matter.

What a world, what a world.
Many people, especially in the 2000 elections, were denied their legal right to vote. I recently watched a documentary titled, "Unprecedented." It chornicles the plight of many in Florida, but not confined there, who were denied their rights for because of their tendency to vote democrat. Well, it's a little more complicated than that -- Certains felons are denied the right to vote. In FL they did a broad search for any felon (not just those ineligable to vote). They left off birth dates and middle initials. The consequence being that thousands of Floridians were denied the right to vote because the shared a simular name to a felon. Most of the people denied had NEVER committed a crime! This is just one example of how Jeb insured that his brother would gain POTUS status. The election was far from fair -- check out the documentary ("Unprecedented: the 2000 Presidential Election" from 2002) I found it very interesting...
Are you serious? That's horrible. What channel was the documentary on?
I got it on netflix -- Here's a link to the IMDB listing...

and the movie's website: http://www.unprecedented.org
It's definately worth checking out. How they got away with massive voter purging is an abomination to our political system. Not to mention the knowledge that without such tactics -- George W. Bush WOULD NOT BE PRESIDENT!!!!!
