Relationship. They're all around us. They include family, friends, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. Let's face it, we can't survive without relationships. Everyone has one. Even that highschool "loner" has a relationship with at least one person. In my life I have the most important relationship of them all, that is God. If I did/do not have a family, friend, girlfriend, or what not, God is always there for me. Yea Yea Yea. Your probably thinking, "God? Come on, how can you have a relationship with someone you can't see? Thats like having an imaginary friend." Well this is the best part of having a relationship with God, even though it may seem that he is not there, He is there 24/7. Pretty ironic huh? Well its true. God always shows that he is there one way or another. The reason why I choose to wright about my relationship with God is because I'm having a hard time. By typing about my relationship with God, it makes me realize that even how much I screw up my relationship with other people, God is always there.

for me music is always there, even when no one else is.
I agree that God is always there. Everyone has their doubts, but realize that in knowing God you should also come to know yourself and follow your heart. Remember that within you, is the holy spirit, and if you are not in tune with your spirit, everything else will be a mystery. Not to say that once you are in tune with your spirit you will understand everything, but that once you know how to follow your heart you will know what your purpose in life is...
God is there. And to those who have turned back to beleive in Him have the Holy Spirit to guide and direct their life. God is with us even when we try to hide, and even when we are running away from Him. He wants you, He desires to have a relationship with everyone. Not because He will benefit in some way but because He made us and wants us to know Him, and know the blessings that He has waiting for us. He wants the best for us! Even when it seems that all hell is breaking loose, those are the times that God wants us to turn to HIm for strength and to rely on HIS strength, because we are human; when we have reached the end of the rope we can't do it on our own.
I wrote a philosophy paper defending the existance of God and here it is:
Religious belief, according to Kierkegaard, is irrational because it defies the laws of observation, or in other words, science. As for Descartes, religious belief had rational grounds relating in theories such as there is no other definition for the creation of the universe “a substance that is infinite [eternal, immutable], independent, all-knowing, all-powerful, and by which everything else, if anything else does exist, [must] have been created” (Think Quest Library). This essay will defend the rationality as opposed to irrationality of religious belief.
Religious belief, like Descartes quoted has rational roots to theories such as the creation of the universe. A belief that this essay holds to the rationalization of religious belief is that since the beginning of noted time, societies all around the world, of different cultures, all had one thing in common, which is a belief in a higher faith. Though Buddhists, Hindus, Christians and other religions have varying views of God, the main point is their belief in a higher power being.
A universalizing thought such as this is no coincidence. If it is in human nature to believe in a higher being, than religious belief is rational. This is considered human nature because all societies held this theory, however not all societies created similar thoughts about science or mathematics such as the Greeks, because if this was so, every human being would be able to naturally invent mathematic formulas off the top of their heads. As for religious ideas, an example follows; a young human being who has not been assimilated into society could be left in the wild, and no matter what abnormal formalities this child may have, they will still have the belief of a higher being, and though they may not speak it, they have minds in which they keep these thoughts.
This example relates back to Descartes view that there has to be a reason for the creation of the universe. Since science cannot prove the nonexistence of God nor the reason for the creation of the universe, than the disbelief in religion is irrational. Science itself holds the fact that one theory should take place until another better one comes along, in this case the theory is that there is a higher being and recently, no better one has come along.
