A new autopsy found that the 14 year old boy who was killed earlier this year in a bootcamp, was actually suffocated. His death was not due to a usually benign blood disorder, the presence of the sickle cell trait.
"Martin Anderson's death was caused by suffocation due to actions of the guards at the boot camp," said Dr. Vernard Adams, who conducted the second autopsy.
Adams said the suffocation was caused by hands blocking the boy's mouth and the forced inhalation of ammonia fumes. This caused his vocal cords to spasm, blocking his upper airway. No one has been arrested in connection with the death, which sparked protests at the state Capitol. Lawmakers decided to get rid of military-style camps and it led to the resignation of the state's top law enforcement officer.
Anderson had collapsed while doing push-ups and running laps, along with other exercises that were part of his admission process at the camp. The sheriff said force was used because he was uncooperative. He had been sent to the boot camp for violating probation. He was caught trespassing at a school after he and his cousins were charged with stealing their grandmother's car from a church parking lot.
I'm glad they are finding out what really happened in this case. I don't really approve of how military boot camps are run, and I think alot of the kids in them need another kind of treatment. This case shows the brutality some people go to and I'm glad they are changing things.

What more do they need to arrest these people? A picture? Let me guess, they were white...If a young girl had died, i'm sure the people would be in jail by now
They have the beating on videotape. Yeah, if a young girl had died, this definitely would have drawn more immediate consequences. Knowing the media and the PC mindset of this country, this will turn into a race war really fast.

Um military boot camp was a cake walk and not at all violent for me and everyone else i know. Maybe you mean correction camps or something else. As for the murder that is just sad and something needs to get done but i bet there is a bunch of retarded red tape that has to be cut before they can proceed with the arrest. I rather them do it calmly then going of half cocked
