This is my first post, so here goes. Its a little crude, but the message is there.
We all know, or at least have been told how committed our beloved President Bush is towards the education of our future, namely our students. Several actions such as the No Child Left Behind program have been institued to assist students in their younger years in order to create the best students possible. Thats great. It really is, but what about those of us who want to go to college. I am a graduating senior with decent expectations for my future, and in the moment of my greatest need, as I am about to make the leap into adulthood and College, the mighty United States Government has decided only to assist my college dreams with loans. Wait a second, do you mean to tell me that for the past four years I've worked hard, pulled all-nighters as many of us have, and made the grade for the government to slap a loan on me and expect me to be happy? Forgive me for pursuing an "Out-of-State" Education, but I am pursuing the school that will actually benefit me. And it doesn't end there! Hundreds, nay Thousands of well deserving students have been turned away from a better education because of its astronomical cost, and have been forced to settle for a local alternative. Is this suppose to motivate our future? Allow us to truly accomplish the American Dream? All we want to do is learn, dare I say challenge ourselves and this is the response we get?
What do you think?
As sincerely as possible,
Krish T.

so your saying that the no child left behind act would only grant graduating seniors loans, not grants???
and i was wondering if u meant that you would go out of state for college or out of the country because it's cheaper?
