I firmly believe that people that believe in gun control are communists. Think about it. The minute our right to bear arms is taken away they can take away any other right that they want to. The first one they would take away is freedom of religion (which they're already taking that away. . .slowly but surely). Next would be freedom of speech and so on and so forth. It's not even like gun control solves anything. Criminals are always going to have guns no matter what. They don't care about the law. So think of it this way, all the law abiding good citizens would be without guns so the criminals would feel free to treat them as they wanted because they would be the only ones w/ the "power". Crime and violence would inevitably increase and all of our rights would be taken away, thus, making us a communist country. We wouldn't even be a nation if it weren't for the individual citizens that had guns way back in the day. Where would we have been w/out the militia and the average farmers that went to fight w/ their own guns?. .. the same guns that they used to hunt and put food on the table for their families. The second ammendment is the original homeland security.

Sometimes guns can help, it's true. But what do you think about the situation when a kid takes the gun and starts shooting his/her colleagues? (example: Columbine massacre)
Instances like that are terrible. They shouldn't happen but they do. But that probably would have happened whether guns were legal or not. You can't prevent people from abusing the right.
I am no communist, haha. And also I am against guns, Well, because my uncle got shot by an idiot and died. But besides that I am against it because some people don't understand this amendment:
1).It was made very long ago, so that they could insure that people could form militias and save themselves from the british. It was ment to make it easier to defend themselves.
2).Now we have police, is there really a point to having guns? Besides getting kids shot.
THE ONLY gun control I would put is restricting fools from buying them, fools that leave the gun were their kid can get it. Also the amendment only was for hunting weapons (shootguns) and so forth
Well, i"m very sorry that your uncle got shot. That's not cool. But I'm just saying that policemen and the army shouldn't be the only ones w/ guns. Fools will always have guns. If they're not allowed to buy them, they will steal them. I say that gun safety should be taught and precautions should be made so that accidents don't happen as often. You can never totally eliminate crime. Even though I don't agree w/ you. I still understand your view. You have a good reason to have that opinion.
Well than what about mandatory classes for everyone that buys guns? I mean can they just give anyone a gun? Even mental patients? What, can you just go in a store, they check your I.D and just buy one? Not really familiar with the policies
I'm not totally sure of the hoops you have to jump through to get a gun. I think that you have to apply for a gun license and background checks are performed and when it is sent back to you then you can go into a store and buy one. I could be wrong about that. If that's not how things are then I think that's how they should be in the future. Creeps and weirdos and mental patients should not be allowed to have guns. But the point of this blog was to say that guns should not be taken away from all citizens in an attempt to keep guns away from these weirdos and criminals. It wouldn't work. In fact, it would backfire (no pun intended) and crime and violence would be on the rise.
This right is given to us in the Constitution. Even if there are police, they can't be everywhere.
Disagreeing with gun control because a relative of yours was shot is called PERSONAL BIAS. I am sorry about the accident, but people die in car crashes every day. Should I hate cars?
