This reminded me of the movie Gattaca. You should check it out. It has an interesting perspective on this entire ordeal.
I think stem-cell research can be used for greater purposes besides desginer babies. We might be able to help cure dieseases like Parkinson's for example.
Customizing babies sounds way to risky for me. I just wish some people will just apperciate their children as they are.
Making a baby out of your favorite parts sounds wierd to me. And I could not see the baby as real, but in a weird way sort of fake... How can you tell them when you grow up...but hey, whatever works for you...
I've seen Gattaca. The sad thing about todays debate, though was that there were actually people who wanted such a child.
I agree, though that the health benefits though are enormous if pursued further.
