This was a comment to The Cadet Who Will Never Be Censored's post on the infiltration of this forum by n00bs.
Problem - Too many people flooding an public forum whose aims do not coincide with the aims of the public forums creators.
Solution - Create a differential-status for people whose aims coincide with the aims of the forum creators. We can start by creating tags for people who always spell correctly, people who post blogs relevant to current ideas, etc.
Solution::Problem - This creates a 'class' system, certainly an anti-progressive act as it reverts back to the 'board of directors' philosophy of exclusion that so defines the religeous, political, and economic systems of our day. However, perhaps by suggesting this we (by we I mean me) have stumbled upon the reason why certain clubs and beauracracies exist. Certainly, it is easier to validate those who matter rather than invalidating the countless who do not matter (countless in this case because on the internet one person is capable of creating infinite numbers of aliases).
Solution::Solution - The solution I have proposed has an upside, which makes it feasible. By creating a certain 'board' to begin with, and entrusting this board (with a tag) to give membership to other users based upon their views of the intelligence level, ability to communicate, and ability to participate in debates (notice, I did not mention sides), they can increase the size of the group of real, interested people. This makes it easier on the original members, because it branches out exponentially. Due to the small size of the members online at any one time (<100 as far as I have seen) this forums regular-user group is small enough to pull this off.
Solution::Solution 2.0 - I have another suggestion to the webmaster of this forum, which is to add subforums. Possibly based off of the 5 broad catagories, it would be easier to focus in on the topic that you really cared about. I'm a little torn on this solution, however, because I like the layout of all the posts together.
Solution::Application - Another side effect of finding a solution to this particular problem is that if we are good enough, and we come up with a dynamic implementation, this can spread to other forums, and possibly eliminate spamming on forums throughout the respected internet. Just a little 'eyes on the prize' tidbit for you.

Here's to hoping the webmasters actually take heed of this. :) Good idea, y0.
I got my blog yanked from the front page because I think I was being too honest ;-) lol
Also, I hope the webmasters get to it too. I'm getting sick of this overwhelming stupidity.
Hey...lets start our OWN blogger website!! Are you with me?
