I'm sick and tired of seeing kids raising kids, so here is my synopsis on the whole deal...
You Are Not The Father…!
“When it comes to fifteen-month old Kwuambuka, Richard, you are… not the father!” The audience goes wild. The single mother, who seconds earlier was so sure that her baby-daddy Richard was the father of her fifteen-month old child, runs of stage, tears gushing out of her eyes. On the other hand, Richard is tired of jumping up and down on the stage and now makes his way to hi-five a group of male supporters in the front row of the audience. The audience is still going wild, being fueled by Richard’s exclamations of “I told ya she wasn’t mine! I told ya she wasn’t mine! She a hoe, tryin’ to pin that baby on me!” The host of the program regains control of his guests and audience: “We’ll be back!” Fade-to-black and a thirty-second commercial break.
If you haven’t noticed, I just described a television talk-show: The Maury Show. OK...OK... this is not a real episode of the show, but it's a close recreation. It's one of the funniest talk-shows on television. It deals with many subject matters. For example, a Maury Show can be about talented young kids who come to showcase their skills while the audience, in the studio and at home, can vote for their favorite performance. Another Maury Show can consist of people revealing devastating secrets to their spouse, friend, or family member. The most common Maury Show is that of the DNA paternity test. This kind is not only the most popular but also the most disheartening, because the majority of the guests are young girls trying to figure out which of the multiple boys they’ve slept with is the father of their child, and young boys – mostly African-American, although there is the occasional Latino and the rare white-guy – giving people a reason to make negative assumptions about them.
Many times the female guests are in their early teens. More than likely they are still in high school and still live at home with their mother. Their stories are almost always identical: girl meets guy, girl has sex with guy, guy claims he is not the father, girl and guy end up on the show. The male guests (typically known as the baby-daddies) are not so different either. They are usually older than their female victims, in high school or a high school drop-out, jobless, ugly, and still depending on their mother. In a clash of stupidity, both sides attempt to prove their innocence. While both sides are like raging dogs, they’re instantly tamed by the results of the paternity test.
One can ask many questions regarding the DNA paternity test variety: what are these kids thinking? Where are the parents in all of this mess? What has society succumbed to? And the most obvious question: who in their right frame of mind would go on national television to showcase their personal business in such manner? The fact of the matter is that no one is in their right frame of mind. Regardless of what anyone says, kids having kids is definitely the cool thing to do in today’s world. Forget owning those sneakers or that car. Forget owning the latest technological invention. If you still thought doing drugs was cool or smoking cigarettes, you can forget that too, because unless you’re poppin’ kids left and right, you are not cool! If you’re a guy you have nothing to worry about because you can be cool too. All there is to do is find as many girls as possible, sleep with them until your penis wrinkles, and then refuse to assume responsibility. However, there is a catch; you have to get the girl, or girls, pregnant.
Having kids have become somewhat of a fashion statement. I once heard a teen-aged girl say that she wanted to have a child “just to know how it feels to have one”. It is synonymous to purchasing something, and if it works it’s kept and if it does not need the need of the buyer then it’s thrown away. In today’s culture there is a complete disregard for the family nucleus. No longer do a man and a woman have to engage in the act of marriage before having children; instead, schools are encouraging and promoting sex by supplying things such as birth-control pills.
This sort of propaganda for an unhealthy and ill-advised lifestyle is breeding the culture that will dominate the future of the world. Our culture is focused on emphasizing the pleasures of sex while obscuring its effects and consequences. No wonder young girls are more willing to spread their legs whenever a guy asks them to – she always take the day-after pill. No wonder guys feel more comfortable inside a girl rather than inside their pants – he can always get her the day-after pill. This may be the only thing the guy gets the girl because once she suspects the possibility of a pregnancy he’s nowhere to be found. Enters a fatherless, newborn child… I’ll be seeing her on the Maury Show.

I do agree with you on a lot of what you said except for "No longer do a man and a woman have to engage in the act of marriage before having children; instead, schools are encouraging and promoting sex by supplying things such as birth-control pills. "
Most schools are abstinence-only because they receive no federal funding for comprehensive sex ed. If the schools supplied that, we would have less Maury episodes, less unplanned pregnancies, and children left with a single parent. If they do get comprehensive sex ed, the agency is volunteering.

Please do your research. Most schools teach abstinence-only sex ed. They do not supply birth control pills. Also, comprehensive sex ed and easy access to birth control has shown to drastically teens having unsafe sex - or even sex at all.
School Board OKs Birth Control for Middle Schoolers

This is a link found online talking about birth controls in a middle school. I know there are many stats out there that disprove my point and that most schools (thank goodness) still teach abstinence-only sex ed. However, I do believe that, as many other trends in our culture and todays world in general, it takes a spark to start a fire...
