That's really not true as far as I know, but I figured with all that Harry Potter drama that, that title would get your attention.
Really I want to talk about something else. This is a quote that I've have to write a speech about by monday...
"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen."-Winston Churchill.
I chose this quote from three other options. I've never heard it until today, but it has quickly become my favorite quote. I think it especially applies to Progessive U. We are all being so brave in sharing our own opinions, especially when it comes to passionate issues like gay rights and abortion. People seem to become our own mortal enemies when we express a different opinion then they have. But I know there are many people in this world who have the courage to speak their own opinions, it is only the people who can also listen that are the most powerful. Afterall, you may want to talk for days about your own opinion but until you silence yourself and learn from others, especially those with contradictory opinions, you will never learn, never grow, and never be able to defend your own opinion properly. That is why I think a site like this is so amazing. We are forced to read others opinions and then express our own in comments.
And now that is just what I would like you to do. I'd like to hear some other people's opinions on this quote before i write out my speech, after all that is the only way that my opinion can grow. :)
