Are we a tech junkie generation?

"It's a wonder the teenager can function these days..." A common phrase used by generations older than 25. Such a broad statement that can basically mean just about anything. I am actually referring to the available, advanced, and futuristic technology we utilize in today's society. Yes it is true, we can multi-task faster then most. Cellphones, Ipods, Internet, and Guitar Hero are some of our favorite devices/skills. But it is hard to say how anyone, including the older, wiser, & etc would do with out them. Just the other day, we sat around in the living room after a bad storm knocked out the electricity. It was a sudden realization of how people spent their time together a few centuries ago. I think it takes some learning, adjusting, to any environment. Change is always the inevitable and yes teenagers can function these days, those days, future days... Teenagers were around then and will be around years from now. Adjusting is a part of life and it happens on a daily basis. When I was a baby, public access to the internet was a new idea. However, the US government had been using this technology for years. My mother said when she was in High School, the "in thing" was pagers, big hairdos, and Nintendo (Mario Brothers.) My dad said that music had such a variety, it was virtually impossible to get bored. Although my grandparents loved the drive in movies, they now enjoy paying for movie tickets through Fandango.com! lol.... Fact is...people adjust regardless of age. Do you agree? Yes or No? Let me know your thoughts......
