How I Conserve Water.

Now this may sound kind of ridiculous or immature but I honestly do this on a daily basis.  When I go to take a shower I take it with my girlfriend.  Now I know that we are teenagers and most believe it leads to sex but honestly it has no sexual tension to it.  I actually like it because that is where we tend to just sit (I guess technically stand) and talk as we bath.  We also help with each other in hard to reach places like our back.

Doing this cuts down on water use.  I mean the average person takes a ten minute shower.  My shower head alone uses 2.5 gallons per minute.  Altogether one average shower uses 25 gallons of water.  The only reason I know this is because my shower head states “2.5 gpm”.

Now if I were to take a separate shower that in itself would use 50 gallons of water a day.  That is quite a bit if you think about it.

175 Gallons of water a week. (7 days)

750 Gallons of water a month. (30 days)

9125 Gallons of water a year.  (365 days)

That is how much is saved in doing this everyday.  Kind of an eye opener isn’t it?

I hand wash dishes, and put a two liter bottle in my toilet tank to cut down on water flow/fill, etc.

it's not too much info, he's just speaking his mind.

If my girlfriend actually comes back, we will be doing the same thing, because it truly does save water and it is just another way of communication with your mate.

Now if you were to have said that you had sex and all this other crap, then that would be too much info, but blah to that....you're doing the right thing and maybe others will follow you.

I'm liking the responses to this one. I'm still debating if I am going to write a blog related to this one or not. But anyway.
It does save water, and it isn't a sexual thing, it is a way to cleanse, but also a way to communicate, just talk. Considering how busy we have both been lately, and how bitchy I've been (sorry), it is a great way to communicate, and help the planet at the same time.

I like that it's promoting being naked in an a way thats not sexual. It seems that our society immeadiately associates nakedness with another person of your sexual preference to sex.

Yes I agree. Just because you see someone naked does not mean you have to think sexualy about it. The naked body is somthing that is beautiful and unfortunatly sexual driven emotions has cloaked that.
