Let's talk about my favorite subject(I'm just kidding, it's not my favorite. But it's up there with my favorites! =P)... FOOD! Or, to be more specific, let's talk about FOOD poisoning...
Food poisoning usually occurs when food is left out or in the fridge for vast amounts of time and it goes bad. Then, unfortunately, someone either not very discerning or very very hungry comes along and... *munch* *munch* *munch*... *dash to the bathroom* *blaaaaaaaaaahhhh*
Shouldn't people watch what they're eating? Shouldn't people throw stuff out that they suspect has gone bad?
I remember one time at the end of track season, one of the guys on our team threw a party at his house and the whole track team was invited. Well everything was going fine, we were having fun, when I decided to raid the guys fridge(It's ok, me and him were and still are great friends...). I asked about a couple slices of pizza I found there and he said that it would be ok if I ate them. Well I warmed them up and munched them down(it was more like slurp... this particular pizza was especially greasy...) with no problems encountered. The party went well. Everyone had fun and afterwards we all went back home. I might mention now that one other guy ate the pizza with me...
Ok so I get home but on the way I had started to feel kinda funny. I just brushed it off and proceeded to relax on my couch reading. Well, an hour later, I have this weird feeling again in my stomach and all of a sudden I'm rushing to the bathroom to try to make it to the toilet in time. I hadn't thrown up in years so I was completely taken by surprise. I cleaned myself up and besides a few more occasions that evening I decided that I was well enough and had gotten over it... boy was I wrong!
The moment everyone else was soundly asleep I had to dash to the bathroom again! I tried to go back to sleep but every time I tried to, I would need to rush to the bathroom again. So one in the morning found me curled up on the bathroom floor shivering between bouts. It got so bad that after everything else was gone(I made my second aquantance with that pizza...) I was puking up blood. Round about then my mom woke up and took me to the E.R. Needless to say, I didn't even want to look at pizza for a long time after that...
Ok, so you ask, "why are you telling me this?". Well, I want to make a statement about food poisoning. Not only does your carelessness with your own food hurt you, it could hurt your friends with the sum of $1000 dollars for a trip to the emergency room.(thankfully I was ensured...) Anyways, the point is, LOOK AFTER YOUR FOOD and that's all I have for this post...

Food poisoning every year is actually mis-diagnosed for the flu, hundreds and hundreds of people. Just thought I would share....
Oh and sometimes you can get sick from food just because you arent used to the bacteria/germs in others homes?
Yeah... weird, huh?
Sometimes our health solely depends upon us, to our lifestyle if we took good care of our health more probably we seldom got or acquire diseases. More importantly bear in mind that sanitation is a must. Make sure that the food and water you intake are safe and water must be potable. Anyway there is a campaign spearheaded by dome school known as H20 for Life. H20 for Life has now over 100 participating schools, sending clean water for drinking and sanitation as short term loans for health to Africa as well as South and Central America. It's a wonderful thing that they are doing, as thousands die from unsanitary water conditions annually. It's like debt relief for the human race by donating to H20 for Life.
