For class I had to pick which freedoms are most important to me. It was hard because I never really thought about it. They were
Can you put them in order that you feel are most important? It's really tricky because I love all my rights...that makes me who I am today but I had to do for the assignment and I picked
1. Right to privacy (implied in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 9th amendments) even though there is not much privacy at all I would still like to keep what we have. I know the government needs to know some stuff about things but I don't believe personal stuff they need to know about.
2.Freedom of speech (1st amendment) this is so important but some people get out of control with it. I think people need to tone some stuff done but they have the right to. I think if we didn't have this right the world would be a bore.
3.Freedom of the press (1st amendment) I know the press is not always right but it is so informative. I think the world would be loss if it wasn't the freedom of press.
4.Right to assemble and petition the government (1st amendment) this also is important because the government doesn't always know what is right for the people so we need some way to make it our way.
5. Rights of persons accused of crimes (4th amendment) this helps the innocent people, people like to judge before the know the facts and that is not always the right or good choice.
6. Freedom of religion (1st amendment) I hate to put this late but I have no other choice. People need to believe in what makes them happy. I think if we were stuck with just one religion it would make us not america....I think it would not be a happy place.
These are just my opinions....what would you pick first if you had to and what would you put last? It's harder than it looks...............

I find it interesting that not all the freedoms given. What about the second amendment? Where is that? I’m not speaking out against you because it was obviously an assignment the teacher had given, I am however saying that the teacher didn’t feel it important. In an assignment like that all the freedoms should be put in, not a select few.
We do have so many freedoms in this country, and I think that's a great assignment to get students to think about their freedoms that we sometimes take for granted. And I also think that it's interesting to see how some people prioritize the freedoms compared to others.
out of the list you have, I would say the most important is freedom of speech, because without that we wouldn't be able to have the rest of the first amendment, as well as many of the other ones, and our country and our lives would definitely be very different.
