Unconventional Much?

I am a 16 year-old Muslim girl living in a fair sized town in the DMV(District,MD,VA) area. My mother practices Islam and my father is a Christian. Both of my parents are unconventional about the way they go about their religious beliefs and circle around that fact that there is one God in many different forms but either way, we all believe in the same supreme being. Growing up with such beliefs has it's benefits like celebrating all holidays and being quite liberal about things. I know that in both Islam and Christianity, homosexuality is seen as abnormal. Now I am a heterosexual who believes that people should just do them and go about their business and love who they want. My father on the other hand believes that gay marriage is wrong and it should be outlawed. He also strongly believes that homosexuality is a choice and not genetic. I, however, disagree with him. I think that there is some type of biological difference between a homosexual and heterosexual. Now with all of the news lately about gay marriage, you really see the differences and bias of people and how they act towards people who are different. I believe that if two people, no matter race, religion, sex, whatever, should be allowed to marry the person they love. I think it takes away a certain freedom from a person.
