When Two Critics Collide, Move out The Way!

I don’t understand your writing. You need to work on this. I would rate it 2 stars because….. Good title but the blog became boring. I would have wrote it this way… You have a weak point here and here. You misspelled the word ….. These people are better known as the critics of the public.

These are only some comments many people have received from others on this site. Some of us have maybe 50 or more people who read our blogs, but only one or two comments. Hey…. We are even lucky if anyone will rate us at all.

So when you first come to this site you read others blogs and then finally decide to create your own. You’re a first timer, so the first blog will not be the greatest but you put it on the site. So you wait. Finally! A comment! Now you are starting to get the hang of things and start blogging like crazy. But still only one or two comments. Sometimes you don’t even get a comment. But you get a lot of reads. You try even harder to put your every ounce of your personality and feelings into each blog . Maybe you had one or two blogs that received a lot of comments. The rest still one or two.

Critics. We love them when they praise us. We hate them when they nit pick our work of art. A lot of times it feels like they have nothing better else to do but hate on others. Once they believe how something should go it can not be reversed in their minds. But there is that one critic that is the toughest on all of us.

This critic downs you the most. They will comment on your weakness and entice it with guilt . When you try to write another blog, they will make you ponder on the subject you are writing. They make you think if it is good enough for everyone to relate to. When you don’t receive a lot of feed back, they try to tell you the should have, would have, and could have statement. They will frustrate you or even give you writers block at times. The toughest critic is: YOU!

When these two different critics collide, all they bring is destruction. The public critic will always be opinionated on how they feel. No one can really please them but themselves. You can write a great masterpiece and the public will only comment on it if they can relate or feel the same way you do. When this happens the tough critic bombs itself with negative feelings and gives in to what the public says. They try different ways to please the public and still don’t succeed. Of course they take it out on their selves and create their own corruption.

Well all I have to say is this. To the public critic: While you want to act so perfect, no one is perfect. So what if the person misspelled one word or two. You know what they are trying to say.Instead of picking at their weakness , try picking on their strengths too. Stop skimming through their blog and not leaving a comment. Your already on their blog page. You might as well tell them what is on your mind. Don’t try to steal their blog idea by saying “I would do it this way” because if you were going to do it that way you should have written it first.

To the toughest critic: When will you realize that you can’t please everyone ?Either they like it or not.Yes I know how frustrating it can be when no one or only a few people comment on what you wrote. It makes you think of what you are not doing right. You are doing the right thing. Everyone will just not agree with you. That’s what this whole site is about. You are trying to progress not for others, but for you. Keep your head up.

although i don't follow up on loose ends, like checking my comments on other blogs to see if there was a reply, but then again, like all of my comments they are just that. sometimes, however, i do tend to become very verbose in my replies, often times i just post a blog, especially when the reply starts to encompass more than the actual reply warrants.

but i guess that all of my blogs with usernames in them are attacks, so says the admin, so a good three-five hours of my blogging time is now down the shitter. yay. thanks guys, way to make someone want to be on this website, good way to promote equalitarianism, yeah. censoreship. that always works. especially when it isn't even rightly worth censoring.

sorry, i am just kinda spiteful right now. i mean i worked twelve hours straight today in a resteraunt, those jobs are always stressful, then i come here, my new blogging home, a place where i felt that i could have a voice, and i get a PM from an admin telling me how to blog. what i should do, including stupid shift-pressing at the beginning of each sentence, they then went on to chastise my word choice, and proper grammar techniques. it just strikes me as bending the rules on their behalf.

i dunno, maybe i am just being butthurt over this whole thing. maybe not. i don't really care much for finding out. methinks that it is beddie-bye time for me though. hope you have a good rest.

Yours truly,
.demosthenes

Awww. Well that sucks. Maybe if you are pertaining to a person just try to say " Many people believe " or something so that won't get you in trouble. No I am not trying to be your momma I am just saying that to try to help get others off your back because I care.Doesn't being progressive mean to create your own unique work of art? And hey! You forgot to rate me! No I am just joking. That's your decsion whether you want to or not. Thanks for the reply. Its ok if you vent to me. Someone always needs someone to lend an ear.

I'm big on spelling. I'll let a few errors slide, but if the whole blog is full of them I'm prone to say something about it. Sadly, I'm getting to the age where people start to forget how to spell things. I find myself double checking a lot. It's time for me to start reading some more books!

Well that is understandable. I just mean when someone has mis spelled a couple of words, and a person who is commenting only talks about what they mis spelled.

I usually won't say anything in that case, unless someone is attacking me or has wrote something about being "perfect' or smarter than everyone else....I saw one that was about a girl being smarter than everyone in her school, but it was full of spelling and grammar mistakes. AAUGH!

Sometimes I just give someone an FYI, for example, if the topic of their entire blog is spelled wrong.
