Now we as Americans would never actually want to say it, but we don't really believe Africa stands a chance in this day and age. We love to have our celebrity concerts saying that we care about the starving children and war torn countries, however the majority of America doesn't even know what continent Darfur is on. As Americans we are soooooo concerned with being politically correct and staying out of others buisness that we refuse to utilize the incredible wealth and power that we have in order to save entire people groups. Because that would just be too pushy, right?
And what about Africans? How many Americans have ever met a real African individual. Very few. And very few people would consider the African population to be equal to American citizens. They are too poor, uneducated and unethical. Wrongo America. Africans (at least the ones I have met and I've met quite a few) are more intelligent than Americans in soooo many ways. Thay are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. And when they believe something, they believe it with all of their being. They know what true faith really is! I think America could learn a lot from Africans.
But Africa is so far away and so different, right? No. The answer is no. They are human beings too. And they deserve our support and respect.

This is true to a point. Many people don't realize what is going on in Africa, but I also think that there are people out there trying to educate people about Africa and other impovished countries. Have you heard of the ONE Campaign? It's all about getting aid to people in those countries that need it most. If you don't know what it is I would encourage you to check out ONE.org
I understand you. But I'd like to ask why does America have to get involved and help every third world country along the way? If there must be someone who takes responsibility for it, then EVERYONE should be involved. America is acting too much like a world police and butt into a lot of other nations' businesses already. It shouldn't be just the Americans who provide the helping hands. People from all backgrounds and races should extend their hands as well.
