Since President Bush was first elected people felt one way or the other about him. When his first term was coming to an end so many people wanted him out of office. So my point about this is how did President Bush get elected twice.(Notice I was not actually asking a question, meaning I am not looking for anybodys sas). This topic just popped in my head one day in class and I thought it would be a perfect topic fot this site. So many people are making fun of President Bush and hating him, so how is it that he got two terms in office. It just boggles my mind. His rateing was down and he still is president. is it because we did not want the other guy? You know that after you got to see what type of leader he was the first four years, you got a good look at what he would be like the next four years. I am not a harcore fan of his and I am not a hater, it just that I can see how so many do not approve of him and yet he governed this nation for eight years. My boggling stuff.

I think he's done an okay job, considering how much he had to deal with during his terms. I think he got reelected because we were just into the war and people felt he could do the best job, I guess.
You have to take into account the polls that are being taken. A lot of them are done online which is not really a reliable source because it does not represent all Americans. Rather, it represents those in more affluent areas, there are many places where not everyone has a computer and they are likely Bush supporters. He did carry a lot of the south and a lot of elderly people, both who are less likely to have internet access. The thing is, he carried a lot of the smaller states in the election, not places like California. I live in California and it seems like anyone I have ever met hates him, and I used to wonder, if that was the case then how did he get elected, but then I realize that of couse, where I am living, few of these people even voted for him, so I'm not going to run into as many people who think he is doing a good job.
I think that he won because Kerry's platform was basically "I'm not Geroge Bush. Vote for me."

Perhaps it's because of where you live. I know for a fact that NY is a big state hater for President Bush. We're a democratic state. Bush has strong supporters in smaller states even since her father was the President. Everyone supported him because of the War in Iraq after the September 11th crisis. They're turning their backs on him now because of the media and other truths that began to be exposed to the public. I think it's a little bit too late to kick him out. And I'm sure his brother will run for President in a couple of years from now. Cannot wait for the next President though.
It even depends on where you are in NY. The city has more people in it than the rest of the state and is mostly Democratic. The rest of the state is much more Republican.
