Of My American Dream
My American dream would be to get into school and study film, which has been something that I never thought could even happen. I lived my whole life thinking that I wasn’t good enough to get into college only because when I looked at my families life style and compared their goals and admissions to that of mine, I did have something to want and to know that I’m different from them I knew I can do any thing I set my mind to.
An American dream wasn’t just trying to get into to school and future my education it was that of me wanted to have a better advantage to help and inspire those out their who don’t have family to want to listen or even care enough to put there selfish deeds behind and focus on giving back what wasn’t given to them as children. I say these because in my past I wasn’t a needy, rude and selfish person. But a kind hearted child who wanted my mother and father to see me the way other parents saw their children not to look away instead help make my life what theirs could have been. For the out come of who I am today it amazes me that I’m so strong to take emotional neglect from each one of my parents and allow myself to keep moving forward in life not letting anyone stand in my way and take my pride or dream away.
The many dreams that would help me choose my path would be having the opportunity to volunteer in my local community on a local TV project, In this process I was given a chance to co-direct, host, edit and film all at the same time “talk about a real world experience” interview the Mayor of White Plains “Joseph Delfino” as well as the Director of Ice Age and Robots “Chris Wedge”. To tell you that my dreams meant nothing to me is a lie beyond words, but that they are simply the only thing that’s keeping me one my toes to inspire myself and create new ones that leads on towards college and finding new ways for other people that are finding life a bit rough.
“A worker is only that of what he or she makes of themselves, but not of what people say they should be” I say this to myself reminding me that in this life time you only live just once and if you never take chances and risks then you leave wishing and wanting to know how things would’ve turned out if you followed your heart. Encouragements is what we should live by so that we may gain what isn’t ours yet, this is of course to help people who have families encouraging them to be the American dream.
