Why settle for less people?
I see this every day! When I wake up every morning and go to school at 8:00am, when I leave school at 2:50pm, when I got to the mall, when I go to church, when i watch the news, and even when i read magazines. For some reason to which I cannot grasp, is why people constantly settle for less.
If you don't know what I'm talking about let me explain. I'm talking about the people who are "C" average students. I'm talking about the women who let their husbands hit them. I'm talking about the people who walk away from the right thing. And I'm most definatly talking about the people who constantly let themselves be disrespected. Most importantly I am talking about the PROBLEMS we face today.
Now the real question is "Why do the people today feel like they have to settle for less?"
If you have a problem, why don't you fix it? don't you deserve to have the best? Why do young people look at having "C"s as a good thing? Why do young people allow others to tear down their self confidence? Why instead of doing drugs you aren't out there trying to get ahead? People it is not where you are from it is where you are going. Why are you sitting back and watching the destruction of the new generation?
My problem is that everybody always has something bad to say about the new generation, but never wants to take the time to change it. No one feels the need to take much action but EVERONE feels the need to talk about it.
I am one of those people who will not settle for less. I'm will not allow myself to not succeed in this life. I don't care what it takes I will get the happiness that I am searching for and I will NOT settle for anything less!
I am writting this for a friend who is settling for less on the dat to day basis... get up and change it!

People settle for less because they dont have enough people like you telling them they are worth it, or they're not telling it to themselves.

Not everyone can be a straight A student. Some people, no matter how hard they try, are simply going to be C students. In some cases, yes, there are students who are settling for less, but be careful not to lump these C students into the same category as those students who do their best and are only able to obtain C grades.
your missing the point. its not about "C" students it about why its okay to be "C" im not tryning to insult the "C" students, just want to encourage them to do better. thats all!
No, I understood that point of your argument.
I just wanted to you and the readers of your post to recognize that some C students are trying their best. You can encourage them to do better, but they just might not be able to. I was a new teacher this year, and had to come to the realization that there are students who try their hardest and can only get C's as well as students who get C's and don't try or don't care.
i totally agree. there is a difference between the people who constantly complain about how sucky the world is, but won't do anything to change it. the laziness, the apathy, it just won't get anyone far in life. missing out on the best, although comfortable, will not accomplish anything fulfilling. good blog!
