Who thought before the hurricane season started in June that the US would experience the same amount of HELLISH hurricanes we had last year??? Whoever did was stupid and should be considered an idiot. So far there has only been 9 named storms in the Atlantic ocean and 5 of them were hurricanes and 2 of them were major ones. AND ONLY 3 OF THE NAMED STORMS HIT LAND. Hurricane experts predicted there would be 16, 17, 18 named storms this season, but of course eventually slid their prediction down to 10-13 as the season progressed. Their excuse this time is EL NINO season patterns softened the hurrican season. With 1 month of the hurrican season left, there is not much chance of having more than 1 or 2 named storms. Oh yeh and everyone knows that there is this cycle of bad and good seasons. It's like for every 5 hurricane seasons, you get 1 season of horrible canes. Just like the probability of getting snow in Alabama or Florida. Well neways back to the main question of the topic... Who thought before the hurricane season started in June that the US would experience the same amount of hellish hurricanes we had last year???
lol, I did....

I went to school in New Orleans when Katrina hit and of course my school got shut down for that term. I went back to that school in Spring 2006, but heard reports that this hurricane season would be much worse than the last. I got scared not wanting a repeat of Katrina I changed schools for the Fall 2006 term. Now because I believed so called expert weather people I am away from the city that I love and will transfer back to my school in New Orleans for next term. I can't believe I was so stupid.
I was expecting some storms myself, but nothing happened. I was afraid, and did not what happened to me during Katrina happen again. I still have not recovered everything i have lost from the storm.
