Today when you think about senior trips what comes to your mind? Well in my high school we usually don't do anything big. Most of the senior classes have went to kings Island and then went to an all night thing. This year they changed the tradtion and went to St.Louis. Well today we have a junior meeting to talk about where we wanted to go as seniors and someone suggested that we go to New Orleans and help clean up or to take a trip to a big city and do charities durning the day. I Feel that this isn't really a senior trip.. i mean yea it was a good idea but what is the really is a good senior trip is it going out and having fun or is it to get a learning experience? So should we as a class help other people in the world out or should we be selfish and do what we want to do?
senior trips

I think that helping out in New Orleans would be nice. BUT it's YOUR TRIP! TO have fun, not get depressed (because you will when you see how horrible everything was left)It is NOT selfish for you to have fun on your special trip. It's your day. Sometimes it's good to be selfish
Personally I'd never thought of doing volunteer work during a senior trip until I read your post. That is really neat, but certainly not what initially comes to mind!!
I attend a really little charter school: there're 16 seniors this year, including five exchange students (yeah, we're TINY!). All us Americans (who've known each other for ages) get along so well, and we're really excited about our trip...we are going either to the Grand Canyon, or on a caribbean cruise, depending on how much $$ we raise.
Come up with lots of options that can be divided into several groups based on expense. Vote on each category, and figure out which places are the faves. But make sure everyone's satisfied - you'll only be able to go to a cool destination if everyone is pulling his share of the load. Good luck and have FUN!!
uggh Senior trips. The Seniors last year went to Carowinds. Oh good grief. Carowinds? Trust me, its really not that great. Especially when you heard of others senior trips from former years.
This year, my graduation! Our principal is planning on going to Chicago. I am super excited!!! I have never been out that way before. Its going to be such an exciting experience. Hopefully, everything will be able to get planned out before second semester and the trip is set and ready to go.
Doing volunteer work would be fun but I honestly would rather just hang with my class on my senior trip. You've probably done a lot of volunteer work from highschool and your senior trip is the last time to have fun with your class.
Oh this post is kind of old. What did you end up doing for your senior trip???
