Are Americans once again asleep? You tell me... what are you doing to unite the United States?? Today I saw a very interesting presentation - you should watch it, the link is below. It starts off by asking one very simple question... Have we fallen asleep again?
9/11 happened almost seven years ago. All Americans were effected by this tragety. For some time after that, the United States united as a whole country. But today, in 2008, Americans have seemed to have fallen back asleep. But extreemist terror groups have not fallen asleep... they are still awake, and most likely planning another terrorist attack on the US.
"[Extreemist Terror groups'] strategy is to cripple our instruments of National Power to have the West collapse from within - Politically, Economically, Psycho-Socially and Militarily. "
I agree with this. I feel as if America is falling hard... fast. And if we don't do something about it, something about it soon, the extreemist groups will win, and be able to attack us while we are down.
Watch the video, and tell me what you think? http://patriotfiles.org/America_Wake_Up.htm
I actually e-mailed the organization. This is what I said:
"Hello,
I really enjoyed your flash presentation. But what are Americans supposed to do about it? How are we to eliminate all the porn stars? How are we to put faith back in the school system? How do we become less dependent on oil from overseas? etc. etc.
You bring up great points in the presentation, but offer no solutions to the problem other than the fact that Americans need to wake up. They have been sleeping, so they don’t know what to do. They don’t even want to realize what's happening around them. They need to hear this, AND how to make reformations.
I've written a poem on just this topic. If you would like to hear it please feel free to contact me again.
*Advice* Make more of these flash animations and post them everywhere: YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo videos, etc. This animation was GREAT, but there need to be more like it offering real solutions to the problems you discussed in this video.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. "
I actually got a response back from them today:
"Thank you for your email and comments.
What can you do? We do not advocate any uprising, anarchy, armed vigilantism, etc.. Our only suggestion is to inform as many people you can of these impending threats, and writing your Congressional Representative and Senators every time they espouse anything you don't agree with. If these elected officials get enough responses from their constituents, they will take notice. Last of all, exercise your right to vote at the ballot box - the silent majority can win, if we all vote.
Be prepared.

I don't know. I guess I was hoping for something more. Like "start an organization that calls people to talk about supporting our country", or "make a hollywood movie that wasn't all about love, good looks, and a wonderful happy life". I was hoping to get answers to the problems that we are facing today.
I don't know... right now, I feel just like one person. Like one grain of sand on miles and miles of beach. What difference could I possibly make unless I was a senator, a governor, or president. There really is nothing I can do other than writing letters to my congressman? I feel like America needs a change fast, and letters aren't going to do anything.
What do you think?
Please take the time to look at the video, and leave me a comment because I'm sure you're wondering what to do as much as I am.

The answers aren't easy. I don't think I can discuss them here without being ostracized. When this country held it's first continental congress, the word Democracy was not a part of the dialog. It was wealthy intelligent men that had been leaders in the Revolution. They were not idiots. The land these individuals gained through annexation from native people's were priceless. The blood shed by yeoman farmer's for this country's independence from a foreign power. What is it to be American? the Nationalist philosophy was not so powerful when America was discovered. It took hundreds of years for feudalism to be replaced. Eventually, after several revolutions throughout France, the identity of a Nation became what we know today. I believe the next revolution is one taking advantage of technology and developed thought to break down imagined barriers of land allocation. We are human beings inheriting this earth together. It is intelligent men, dare I say "evil", that manipulate masses to believing in superiority over another class or type. We are in the same family, Homo sapien.
Actually, I think letters (and phone calls) do really work. I know letters work on a state level. I've spoken with a few senators in my state legislator and they've each said the same thing, they listen to their constituents. They desperately want to by loyal the the people who keep reelecting them. (In typical politician fashion, ya?)
And of course, don't tell me your vote is just one vote, and can hardly make a difference, especially with the big presidential election coming up. Sometimes changing the government is simpler than we realize.
Thank you so much for the post. The video really speaks to the direction that America is headed. Every day, Activist Judges remove God from another aspect of American life. Every day, the media paints our President as an enemy. Every day, the homosexual agenda is pushed farther and farther down the throats of Americans.
You are right.
Something needs to be done about this.
This is one of the main reasons I supported Mike Huckabee for President. Now we must all pray that John McCain can carry on the torch and win the White House.
What can we do to stop this moral decay?
It all starts with prayer. As long as a nation remains a house of prayer, that nation will remain in the eyes of God.
I also think that we need to support groups such as the Christian Coalition and Focus on the Family.
With all that being said, I agree with you that more needs to be done.
We need a movement, an organization driven by the Youth and supported by the Conservatives in Congress. We need an organization with the same kind of influence that SDS has back in the 70's.
