There are all sorts of Christian music today. There is Christian rap, rock, etc!! My boyfriend only listens to Christian music. From the old to definitley the new! he listens to all sorts of Christian rap and rock such as Disciple, Sevenenth Day Slumber, Toby Mac, Hawk Nelson, Family Force 5, Thousand Foot Krutch...etc. I listen to all types of music an really enjoy what he listens too. Some of the older generation think that its wrong to listen to music like that. I dont think so....atleast not for people today. Music reaches out to everybody. I think that Christian rap, rock, etc is a great way to reach out to the youth. They still get good beats and rythms but are listening to something inspirational and to something that will reach out to their hearts. There is some really good Christian bands out there and its amazing at what they can do.
Over the summer a Christian Rock band called Seventh Day Slumber came to my high school and performed along with too other inspiring artists known as Ruth and December Radio.
The lead singer from SDS had a hard life before he came and made a relationship with God. At this performance, he had a Powerful testimony that I believed touched so many students who came to the show. I know that it touched my heart. It was amazing at how he had changed and what God has helped him through. His calling is to perform his Christian rock and tell his amazing testimonys everywhere.
I highly encourage that people check out some of these artists. Very Great!! I love it!

I think that it is awesome that you had the chance for Seventh Day Slumber to go to your school!! I personally like CHristian music as well and think that it is great that there is such a wide variety of Christian music so that there is something for everyone. I went to a Relient K, Superchick, Jeremy Camp, Mae, and Barlow Girl concerts and their testimonies truly are inspirational and touching.
While I may not agree with you in the slightest about the existence of god, I really must agree to the effectiveness of Christian music. Not only does it keep good Christians like yourself from plaguing your pure hearts with satanic lyrics and devilish beats, but it keeps us devil worshipers from ever tuning into a Christian station, and in effect, it helps to bar us from ever entering a church.

That is great. I love Hawk Nelson. You probably listen to them, but one of my all time favorites is Casting Crowns, because they come out and speak what is on their minds.
I've heard Joseph's testimony twice before. I cried both times.
