Ever wonder how you -- the little person -- could affect the vast world of campaign controbutions? Well I for one, often wonder. I already limit myself to only purchasing from stores that I support their business practices -- for example, as an animal lover who still eats meat, I personally find satisfaction in only buying from free-range farmers. This way I can insure that any meat I consume was treated with repect until it's departure from our realm and into my belly :)
But back to politics...
A friend of mine sent me a link to a site (www.buyblue.org). Now to the republicans, don't freak out you are accounted for as well...
http://www.buyblue.org/company/ranking/donations?sort=desc&order=Contrib...
The above will take you to a page that is a chart of companies in order of most money donated to least money donated. The chart also lists what percentage of said donation goes to which party.
The top five are as follows...
| Progressive Corporation | $3,820,313 | 97% | 3% | 0% |
| United Parcel Service, Inc | $2,152,178 | 28% | 72% | 0% |
| SBC Communications Inc | $1,812,815 | 35% | 65% | 0% |

Check it out and use your purchase power to support your candidate!

If you buy stocks and don't like corporations hiring illegals and having your taxes and insurance pay for their schooling and medical care, if you think a CEO isn't worth 200 million a year and you don't like corporations moving out of the country, selling out to foreigners or outsourcing middle class jobs-WHY BUY THEIR STOCKS_WHY SUBSIDIZE THEIR BEHAVIOR?? Consider investing in commodities like black gold, yellow gold or foreign companies instead.
