Group Analysis - Foreign Culture Project
Our group was composed of me (Lucia), Amanda, Shelly, and Nicole. It was a pleasure to work with them, as we all found out interesting things about Laos. I learned many things about Laotian culture, like when greeting with hands in form of a prayer, the higher the hands the more respect you show. Other things I learned would be the fact that you should keep your head lower than Buddhist monks, and that they should not be touched by women, or that because Laotians consider the head as the most sacred part of the body, it should not be touched.
About the people in our group, I learned that they are very hard working. Amanda and Shelly were really good at putting ideas together, and Nicole was very organized and did the audience analysis.
I searched the internet for possible sites that we could use, and forwarded it to the other members of the group. With that information and other sources, Amanda put together the pamphlet, Shelly did the memo, Nicole wrote out the audience analysis, and I put together the PowerPoint presentation. In class, while I maneuvered the computer, Amanda presented the information.
Amanda, Shelly and Nicole worked very hard on their part of the project and were very cooperative. They were very concentrated on the issue and, took this project very seriously. It would be a pleasure for me to work with them again in the future. Everything went in harmony, therefore everybody deserves equal and full credit.
