Chris Paul is definitely has my vote for most valuable player. He has really cared the New Orleans Hornets into playoff contention. He has transformed former underachievers, Tyson Chandler and David West into now all-stars. He has really learned how to control the basketball game, letting the game come to him and not the other way around. He is about to become only the fifth player the NBA history to average more than 20 points per game and over 10 assists per game. He is not only a great player on the offensive side but also on the defensive side. He also leads the league with 2.7 steals a game. If he gets his steals per game up to 3 than he would become the first player in NBA history with averages of 20 ppg, 10aps, and 3 spg. Chris Paul is one of those rare game changers and is now considered probably the premier point man in the NBA, next to Steve Nash and Deron Williams. As only a third year player, he has developed the leadership needed to make a championship caliber team. His will for winning is really unmatched by any with the exception of Kobe Bryant.

i'm a big basketball fan & i have to say that i can see your point. it's just my opinion, but i feel that kobe should be the mvp, but i wouldn't be surprised if paul did win the mvp award.
